

Krisante Gunewardena
VP of Engineering and Finance
Kris Gunewardena serves as Vice President of Engineering and Finance at Mil-Spec Magnetics, bringing over 25 years of industry experience across engineering, manufacturing, finance, and quality systems. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Technology from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and is a Certified AS9100 Aerospace Auditor.
His areas of expertise include mechanical and electrical design for manufacturing, quality assurance, and finance. Krisante particularly enjoys developing devices, products, and equipment that have never been built before, embracing the technical and manufacturing challenges that come with highly specialized projects.
At Mil-Spec Magnetics, Krisante provides guidance in implementing engineering best practices, oversees the manufacturing of the company’s highest-grade components for customers including Sandia National Laboratories and Honeywell FM&T, manages company finances and financial systems to support long-term business stability, and helps direct the company’s quality management system.
Among the accomplishments he is most proud of are achieving AS9100 certification standards and the successful completion of the MC4682A capacitor manufacturing program. He contributes to organizational excellence by developing systems and processes that ensure product quality, operational discipline, and continuous improvement throughout the company.
Krisante believes that valuing quality above all other business and manufacturing concerns is what differentiates Mil-Spec Magnetics from other manufacturers. His professional values are rooted in diligence, integrity, and faith, approaching his work with the belief that excellence is a pursuit, not a destination.
Outside of work, Krisante enjoys traveling the world, missionary work in third-world countries, spending time with family, serving in church ministry, and playing basketball. He is also involved in commercial real estate, where he enjoys solving complex transactional and operational challenges. A fun fact about Krisante is that he played trumpet in marching band, jazz band, and orchestra throughout high school and college.
